Interesting reading the various reviews. Guess there’s all kinds of experiences but usually the negative ones get posted wanting to attack businessmen (1 person even attacked an office fish tank lol) rather than the technical transmission experience. I have a 2003 Jeep Liberty sport 4x4 (150,000 miles) & was occasionally towing a 500 gallon water wagon way over the jeeps towing rating, so it wasn’t a big surprise in recently having my transmission stick failing to gear up into 4th. Therefore since there’s so many transmission shops in San Antonio & not knowing where to go, I asked my trusted master mechanic from a reputable repair facility who I trust with all my vehicle repairs (including my MercedesBenz) & he suggested Mr Transmission. Keep in mind the typical customer aren’t dealing with numerous mechanical issues especially transmission problems except for mechanics who constantly service vehicles & my master mechanics a very good source personally servicing vehicles for over 30 years whose discovered himself whom he trusts for all his transmission repairs. Mr Transmission’s Danny initially evaluated my jeep & discussed the details with my mechanic, who then relayed the details back to me which I very much appreciated because they understand all the mechanical specs way better than most. Needless to say the logical option (rather than spot repair & OEM was discontinued) was to replace with a rebuilt warrantied transmission considering the 150k original transmission was already abused & I felt it was time for a new transmission going forward. Mr Transmission’s Danny called me to initiate my authorization to work & was personable, polite, thorough & professional. They eventually got into the job & Danny let me know he would also recommend a better transmission cooler raised above my heavy duty aftermarket bumper/wench because they noticed the temperature from the original smaller transmission cooler hidden behind the aftermarket bumper wasn’t optimal & the bigger raised transmission cooler would provide me the best transmission outcome longitivtiy. Considering I love my Jeep & have recently updated most other components from worn bushings, leaks ect. ie: springs, shocks/struts, power steering control arms, radiator, a/c compressor, bump stops, ect. ect. I was really glad that someone like Danny took the initiative to let me know some details others may not have cared to let others know about. I met both Danny & Robert while dealing with my Jeep & have to say they were both very personable, polite, thorough & professional at all times & feel as though they’re the kind of people you’d want as a neighbor or at least in your neighborhood... being just good people to know. I’m 59 years old & I’ve had the typical poor dealer & repair facilities half ass repair experiences overlooking items having to constantly return back & forth waiting constantly until vehicles serviced, so it’s damn nice that I’ve finally found a honorable ethical master mechanic whom i’ve come to trust as a friend & would also consider Danny & Robert in the same category as trusted friends who truly care about their craft in Transmission repair. Thank you Mr Transmissions Danny & Robert for always being available to those in need where some appreciate the personal attention to detail.
